The short answer: Fellow is the stronger fit when your firm needs the original recording kept on a retention schedule, wants Global Relay archiving and published pricing, or has a team too varied for one finance-only tool. Rogo Notes is the stronger fit when your firm already runs on Rogo or wants meeting context to flow straight into Rogo’s deal workflows. Retention, recording method, archiving destination, CRM destination and buying model decide it, not firm type.
Side-by-side by decision attribute
- Audio and video. Fellow: recording library, with optional Zero-Day Retention that deletes recordings and transcripts after processing. Rogo Notes: Arvo’s site states no persisted audio.
- Retention. Fellow: separate schedules for recordings, transcripts, and AI notes, down to zero days. Rogo Notes: Rogo’s Notes page lists retention controls.
- Capture method. Fellow: bot or botless option across Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack Huddles, Webex, and in person. Rogo Notes: Arvo stated capture without bots across Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, and in person.
- MNPI and sensitive content. Fellow: configurable AI trackers for MNPI and PII. Rogo Notes: MNPI guardrails and sensitive-content review. This is parity.
- Supervision and review. Fellow: a compliance portal with workspace-wide review, saved views and logged review actions. Rogo Notes: admin view, edit and lock of meetings and immutable audit trails.
- Archiving destinations. Fellow: Global Relay integration, plus Super Admin API exports. Rogo Notes: Arvo said it was built for SEC archiving. Named destinations unconfirmed.
- Certifications. Fellow: SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA. Rogo Notes: Rogo lists EU AI Act and other items.
- CRM destinations. Fellow: Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive; no native Wealthbox or Redtail. Rogo Notes: Rogo says it connects natively to financial CRMs.
- Buying model. Fellow: standalone product. Rogo Notes: part of Rogo’s platform.
- Price. Fellow Enterprise: $25 per user per month billed annually. Rogo Notes: no public price found.
Which is the stronger fit for a bank or PE deal team, Rogo Notes or Fellow?
Fellow is the stronger fit when the team needs the recording itself retained for a diligence call, management meeting or portfolio company review, or wants a bot-or-botless choice per meeting.
Rogo Notes is the stronger fit for a deal team already working in Rogo, because Rogo says meetings captured in Notes feed its agents and projects, while Fellow connects to deal tools through integrations, its API and its MCP server instead.
Rogo launched Notes publicly on October 15, 2026 and announced the Arvo acquisition on September 1, so its track record under the new name is short.
What does each tool keep: audio, transcripts, or notes only?
Fellow can keep any of the three, with separate schedules for recordings, transcripts, and AI notes, while Arvo’s site said Arvo keeps no audio.
Fellow’s retention model lets a firm delete the recording on one clock and keep the AI summary on another, or set zero days so raw content is not retained after processing.
Fellow is the stronger fit when your firm needs the original recording preserved, for example to settle a dispute over what was said on a call. Rogo Notes is the stronger fit when your firm already uses Rogo and does not want audio to exist at all, provided Rogo confirms the no-audio design survived the acquisition. Both facts affect books and records obligations, so your compliance team should decide which records the firm must hold before choosing.
How do MNPI and sensitive-content controls compare?
Fellow and Rogo Notes both list MNPI flagging, retention controls and consent options, so this is parity rather than a reason to choose either. Fellow offers configurable trackers for MNPI and PII, and Rogo lists MNPI guardrails and sensitive-content review. Both say they do not train on customer data (per vendor pages).
For information barrier and wall-crossing situations, ask each vendor to show how a restricted meeting is handled and how the access list is audited. Fellow documents recording restrictions by rule and Enterprise-level workspace controls; Rogo’s equivalents should be confirmed in a demo.
Where do the notes go: archiving and CRM destinations?
Fellow documents a Global Relay integration and exam-ready exports through its Super Admin API, while Rogo Notes has no confirmed named archiving destination in the public sources we found.
For off-channel communications supervision, that difference can decide the purchase: a firm that archives through Global Relay can say yes to Fellow today. On CRMs, Fellow lists Salesforce and HubSpot, and Rogo says Notes connects natively to financial CRMs without naming them in the material we found.
What does each cost, and how is it bought?
Fellow publishes its price: Enterprise is $25 per user per month billed annually, which makes it the stronger fit for a buyer who needs a number before a procurement conversation. Rogo Notes had no public price on the sources we checked, and its pricing and standalone availability are unconfirmed. Note that Fellow’s workspace-wide record and restrict rules and transcript redaction are Enterprise features, so the $25 figure is the relevant one for a regulated firm.
Which should an RIA or broker-dealer choose?
An RIA or broker-dealer should start from its CRM and archiving setup, because Fellow has no native Wealthbox or Redtail integration (an RIA on either needs the API) and Arvo says it is built for SEC-regulated RIAs and broker-dealers. A firm on Salesforce or HubSpot that archives through Global Relay fits Fellow’s documented setup. A firm already on Rogo, or one that wants no audio retained, should put Rogo Notes in the evaluation. Advisory firms on Wealthbox or Redtail should also evaluate advisor-specific tools such as Jump and Zocks, after checking those tools’ current documentation.
Where does Fellow fall short? Where does Rogo Notes fall short?
Fellow:
- It has no native Wealthbox or Redtail integrations yet.
- Enterprise starts at 10 users, and workspace-wide rules and transcript redaction sit on that tier.
- We did not find DealCloud listed among its CRM integrations.
Rogo Notes:
- It publishes no price.
- It is part of the Rogo platform, and standalone availability is unconfirmed.
- It launched publicly on October 15, 2026, so it has little public track record under the new name.
- Its named CRM and archiving destinations and data residency are not confirmed in public sources.
- Whether it still persists no audio after the acquisition is unconfirmed.
